Back in June of 2010, I started hunting for empty shops in Tavistock to use as exhibition spaces, and the idea of a 'Pop-Up' gallery began to take form. Together with fellow artist Jules Greaves and with the very generous support of David Balment, a local landlord, we opened the doors of Contemporary Art Tavistock in Paddons Row in Tavistock. We held three shows with a very positive response, showcasing local and national artistsIn November, having formed a collective with Sophie Fordham, Maggi Squires, Cathy Freeman, Rose Gibbon and Philippa Smith, we moved on to a new location 1 Church Lane where we have held two subsequent exhibitions.
